Telephone no.: +49 231-755-8833

Member of the group since: 03/2019

University Degree: M. Sc. in Chemistry, TU Dortmund University

Expertise: organic synthesis, molecular biology, photoswitchable proteins

Off-Lab activities: music, cooking, meeting friends, football

Research projects: The regulation of enzymatic activity by photochemical excitation is of great importance for molecular biology and biotechnology. In this project, a light switchable T7 RNA polymerase with inserted LOV (light oxygen voltage) domain is prepared. The activity of the photo-switchable Protein is measured, and the Protein is structurally analyzed.

Earlier positions:

Bachelor and Master studies in the working group of Prof. Dr. Martin Hiersemann on photochemically induced cycloaddition/ring expansion to Cyclohepta[b]indoles.
